# Update target

> Update an existing target's properties and target entries.

**Updatable Fields:**
- `title`: Change the target name
- `baselineYear/Month/Quarter`: Modify the reference period
- `metadata`: Update custom metadata for external integration
- `targetEntries`: Replace all target entries with new values, periods, and types

All fields are optional - only provided fields will be updated. Target entries are completely replaced when provided.
