# Export dataset items as CSV

> Export all coefficient values from a dataset as a CSV file for backup, sharing, or analysis.

**CSV includes these columns**:
- Label: Human-readable name
- Key: Unique identifier
- Value: Coefficient number
- Unit: Measurement unit
- Plus any metadata as additional columns

**Why export**:
- Create backups of your coefficient data
- Share data with other environmental management systems
- Generate templates for bulk imports
- Provide data for compliance reporting
- Enable external analysis and research

**Pro tip**: The exported CSV can be imported back using the import endpoint, making it perfect for data migration between systems.
