# Delete dataset

> Permanently delete a dataset and all its coefficient data. Requires owner permissions.

**⚠️ Warning**: This action cannot be undone and will:
- Remove the dataset and all its coefficient values
- Break calculations that use this dataset
- Affect forms and dashboards that reference this data

**Before deleting**:
- Check if any calculations depend on this dataset
- Consider creating a backup or new version instead
- Ensure you have owner permissions

**Better alternatives**: Instead of deleting, consider creating updated versions of datasets to preserve historical calculations and maintain audit trails.
